Small resort, gentle slopes but modern facilities.
Easily accessible from Paris by plane.
However, if you arrive in a rental car, they'll be waiting for you unless you immediately pay for parking through their central system: €60 after just 15 minutes of parking—that's their way of welcoming you...

Excellent ski resort. Very empty in January. Almost no queues at the lifts. Very well lit, so skiing is no problem even in low light.

A very nice family resort; here it's all about the skiing, not the looks. The organization for lift passes, rentals, etc., is excellent. Everything is in one place. It's fun to ski until 7 pm thanks to the numerous lights throughout the resort.

Levi positions itself as Finland's premier ski resort. In terms of lift infrastructure it probably is although Ruka and Pyha beat it on terrain. The quality of snow is off the chart and if you are there in the early season before the Finns come out en masse from down south, pretty much every day is a powder day. You can ski here when other European resorts are flowery meadows. Make sure to mix up the alpine with some cross country and add in some snowmobiling, husky safaris etc and you will more than make up for the difference in vertical and resort size compared to the Alps or Rockies.

Über Silvester sind drei Pisten, von denen eine die EINZIGE sinnvolle Verbindung aus den Abfahrten / Liften am Point Zero darstellt, mangels Beleuchtung gesperrt. Öffnung wohl immer erst im Februar. Ist man also einmal am Hügel vom Point Zero kommt man dort nur noch mittels Skibus (nicht im Skipass enthalten!) in die anderen Bereiche oder über den 'Gondola'-Abfahrtsbereich. Hier treffen drei Pisten auf einen Lift mit sechser Gondeln, die aufgrund von Covid19 nicht voll ausgelastet werden dürfen. Die Schlange reicht in Spiralen bis ins letzte Drittel der blauen Abfahrt. Skifahrer von der roten und schwarzen Abfahrt müssen die blaue Abfahrt hochfahren um sich hinten einzuordnen. WARTEZEIT EINE STUNDE bei -20° Grad. Alternativ muss man von dort in den Bus steigen - hier quetschen sich alle frustriert trotz Covid19 zusammen... Ich gehe davon aus, dass dieses Nadelöhr auch ohne Covid-Regeln ein Alptraum ist. Liftzeit zu Abfahrtzeit an den anderen Liften 2:1. Die meisten Ankerlifte über 1km Länge lassen jeden Skifahrer frieren.

La station est très calme surtout au mois de janvier. Le froid y habite et la neige ne s'en va pas de la saison. Des couchers et des levées de soleil à couper le souffle et des aurores boréales magnifiques.
L'été la station est plus calme et la nature est là maître de partie.
