Hauser Kaibling marks the eastern gateway to the Schladming-Dachstein ski region and is part of the renowned 4-Berge-Skischaukel (4-Mountain Ski Circuit). This interconnected network links the four major Styrian ski areas—Planai, Hochwurzen, Reiteralm and Hauser Kaibling—into one seamless alpine experience. In total, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy 123 km of pistes and 44 modern lift systems. At the valley station in Haus im Ennstal, plentiful parking ensures short walking distances and a smooth start to your ski day. From here, the Gipfelbahn (summit gondola) carries skiers up to 2,015 metres—the highest point of the entire 4-Berge-Skischaukel. With 37 km of pistes, Hauser Kaibling offers varied terrain especially suited to beginners, families and sporty skiers. Wide runs are a highlight, including the famous FIS-Weltcup Damenabfahrt (FIS Women's World Cup downhill, No. 1), the Osthang-Piste (East Slope, No. 9), and the Höfi-Abfahrt (Höfi Run, No. 3). Around the Mittelstation (mid-station) and Kaiblingalm, family fun takes centre stage: gentle blue runs like the Kaiblingalm-Abfahrt (No. 8) invite relaxed hours in the snow. A beginner’s Übungsgelände (practice area) at the base and a Mini-Kids-Club help little ones take their first turns. The resort also features a Genussinsel (Pleasure Island) at 1,800 metres with free Wi-Fi—perfect for relaxing and sharing your best slope selfies. A modern ski depot at the valley station rounds off the skier-friendly offering. Since 2008, Hauser Kaibling has also been recognised as an eco-conscious mountain thanks to its Almlammprojekt (Alpine Lamb Project). In summer, sheep graze the slopes, reducing the need for heavy machinery and supporting sustainable slope maintenance.
