I have to say it's a real shame because I would have gladly returned. The slopes are beautiful, the people are friendly, and the refuges are delightful. Unfortunately, the off-duty police officers lack the slightest empathy and understanding. I got a ticket for parking in a disabled space. I certainly don't have a permit on my car, but while the officer was writing the ticket, I went out and showed him that I was using a crutch and had my left arm in a brace. He told me the ticket had already been issued... he'd already taken photos! A five-minute stop, with my children in the car. No comment. Enforcing the law isn't for everyone; you can't just use your eyes and read the bare rules. Next year, I'll spend the thousands of euros my vacation cost me at another resort.
