Overview

The ski resorts of the Dolomiti Superski ski area, including Alta Badia, are located in naturally snowy areas, between 1400 and 3269 mt in altitude. The extremely low humidity of this area creates the perfect conditions for powder snow and the altitude extends the ski season from November to April. The principal resorts in Badia are Corvara, La Villa, San Cassiano and San Leonardo. The Alta Badia ski area comprises 130 km of snowy slopes connected by a modern and rapid system of ski lifts, connected at Sella Ronda. For ski and snowboard enthusiasts Alta Badia, and the entire Dolomite area, with over 1200 km of trails, fresh snow, wide, sunny and well-cured slopes, blue skies and beautiful sunny days, is a true winter paradise, a paradise formed 200 million years ago by a primordial sea. In fact, a long time ago, the best known peaks in the Dolomites, like Gruppo del Sella, Marmolada and Civetta, were atolls.
