Brixen im Thale - SkiWelt Piste Map
The terrain at Brixen im Thale - SkiWelt is ideal for skiers who want quick access to a large linked ski area from one practical base. From the valley, 6er Gondelbahn Hochbrixen takes you up to Hochbrixen, while 8er SkiWeltbahn opens the route towards Choralpe and Westendorf.
For beginners and families, Hochbrixen is the key area. Übungslift Hochbrixen, Skischullift Hochbrixen, Würstlexpress, Sonnenlift and Sonnenband provide a manageable setting for children, first turns and confidence-building sessions.
Intermediate skiers have plenty to work with from Brixen. Hochbrixen downhill, Zinsberg downhill, Kälberalm downhill and Filzboden downhill offer smooth, well-linked skiing with enough space for controlled carving and longer descents.
Advanced skiers should look at Joch downhill, Holzalm downhill, Kandleralm downhill and Direttissima - Jochbahn. These are not extreme freeride areas, but they add a more athletic feel, with sections where technique, edge grip and stamina matter.
Key lifts for exploring this side include Kälbersalvenbahn, Zinsbergbahn, Jochbahn, Filzbodenbahn and Aualmbahn. They make it easy to stay around Hochbrixen or continue towards Hopfgarten, Söll, Scheffau and Westendorf.
The landscape is classic Tyrol, with open slopes, views towards the Wilder Kaiser and long connections through the Brixental. On a clear day, the Zinsberg viewing platform is worth a stop for the panorama. For a more playful session, SkiWelt also includes Fun Park - Jump-Line and Fun Park - Jib-Line.
