Gerlos - Zillertal Arena Piste Map
The terrain at Gerlos - Zillertal Arena is part of the linked Zillertal Arena ski area, covering Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Königsleiten and Hochkrimml. From Gerlos, Isskogelbahn and Dorfbahn Gerlos are the key access lifts into the main ski area.
The wider area offers 150 km of pistes and skiing up to 2,500 m. It is especially well suited to intermediate and advanced skiers who enjoy covering distance, with long linked routes and varied piste profiles across several sectors.
Beginners and families should focus on the gentler, more manageable pistes close to ski school areas and main lift access points. The scale of the resort makes it useful for mixed-ability groups, as stronger skiers can head further across the area while others stay on easier terrain.
More confident skiers can use the links towards Zell am Ziller, Königsleiten and Hochkrimml for a proper mileage day. With a vertical drop of up to 1,971 m across the area, the Zillertal Arena rewards skiers who like longer descents and varied terrain.
Freestyle is officially covered by Snowpark Gerlos, Action Park Kreuzwiese in Zell am Ziller and Funpark Hochkrimml below Filzsteinbahn. Snowpark Gerlos sits by the Vorkogel-lift and includes a FunRun, beginner zone and medium zone. Action Park Kreuzwiese includes a fun run, ski movie run and speed check run, while Funpark Hochkrimml is smaller and especially suitable for children and park beginners.
The scenery adds real variety, with broad Alpine pistes, views across the Zillertal Alps and a route network that moves from Tyrol towards the Salzburg side of the ski area. Gerlos works best for skiers who want a village base with access to a much larger linked domain.
