Unfortunately given the changing media landscape, Mountain News Corporation has experienced financial declines in recent years. With additional economic challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic now facing our business, it is not financially viable to continue operating.

Mountain News Corporation and our OnTheSnow and Skiinfo websites will shut down on July 13, 2020. We will explore the possibility of selling, partnering, or contributing assets to another media outlet if there is an opportunity to allow for a consistent or enhanced online experience. Full review

The biggest ski area I've ever seen, with 3 large ski areas surrounding the valley, countless slopes, predominantly red pistes (advanced intermediate) . Sunny and warm in March almost every day, but snow grooming is excellent, so you hardly notice any rough spots. Off piste but marked trails abound, "red diamonds" The town itself is quite lively, lots of eateries, cafes, bars and shops of all kinds. Only ting they are missing there is a proper gift shop, but, hey its not for the coffee mug you'd go to St.Anton!
