Wald - Königsleiten - Zillertal Arena Piste Map
The terrain at Königsleiten - Wald - Zillertal Arena forms part of the wider Zillertal Arena, connecting Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Königsleiten, Wald-Königsleiten and Hochkrimml. The area offers 143 km of pistes, 52 lifts and skiing from roughly 1,600 m to 2,315 m.
Königsleitenspitze is the key mountain above the village, with open slopes, scenic ridgelines and links towards Gerlos. Dorfbahn Königsleiten is the main access lift from the village, while Larmachbahn helps skiers move into higher terrain and onward routes.
Beginners and families should start on the easier local slopes around Königsleiten before travelling further across the ski area. The open layout makes orientation easier, which is useful for children and less confident skiers.
Intermediates are particularly well served. Red pistes dominate the wider area, giving plenty of scope for long, flowing descents and satisfying linked routes.
Advanced skiers can use the steeper pistes and longer descents across the Zillertal Arena for a more demanding day. The longest run reaches up to 10 km, so route planning is worthwhile if you want to cover distance without rushing back.
The wider Zillertal Arena also includes three parks and freestyle features. The scenery is a major part of the experience, with open high-altitude slopes and views towards the Hohe Tauern giving the Königsleiten sector a strong alpine character.
