An alternative winter holiday in a less crowded place featuring stations for young people and families with children.For downhill skiing there are two up-to-date, well-equipped stations. Located near the spa towns of Levico and Vetriolo, Panarotta 2002 offers 18 km of safe runs always covered by snow and served by 4 ski-lift facilities, as well as a playground on the snow and the Snowpark della Panarotta. The Brocon-Marande Pass area above the Tesino basin features 10 km of recently restyled ski-runs, 2 ski-lifts, the Snowpark Lagorai and the game park Skilandia, with two moving walkways. Both centres offer sled runs, sport equipment rentals, skibus service and instructors coming from the Scuola Italiana Sci (Italian SchooI of Skiing) of Panarotta 2002 and Lagorai.Opportunities for cross-country ski lovers are countless; the 7-km trail "Sette Casare" at Brocon Pass; the Great North flavoured environment of the Vezzana Plateau, which features two ring tracks covering the 12 km way to the pass, the long connection routes to the Centro Fondo Millegrobbe (12 km) and the Campolongo centre (21 km); the 11 km trail of Val di Sella, near Borgo Valsugana. All the ski-runs are groomed for free technique and feature parking areas and sports equipment rentals.Valsugana also offers other kinds of winter sport chances, such as snow-shoe hiking and ski-mountaineering in charming and natural environments, which are safe and well-catered by mountain-huts and refreshment venues.
