Ski and snowboard enthusiasts from around the world:

We have been proud to provide you with free access to snow reports, resort guides and more, and we are beyond grateful for your readership and contributions to our community over the years.

Unfortunately given the changing media landscape, Mountain News Corporation has experienced financial declines in recent years. With additional economic challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic now facing our business, it is not financially viable to continue operating.

Mountain News Corporation and our OnTheSnow and Skiinfo websites will be shutting down. We will explore the possibility of selling, partnering, or contributing assets to another media outlet if there is an opportunity to allow for a consistent or enhanced online experience. For inquiries about Mountain News Corporation, please email Feedback_OTS@mountainnews.com.

We want to thank our loyal employees for their tireless work over the years to bring great information to all of you. We take comfort knowing that our collective passion for the sport of skiing and snowboarding will certainly live on.

We’ll see you on the mountain.

Val Sugana Ski Resorts

An alternative winter holiday in a less crowded place featuring stations for young people and families with children.
For downhill skiing there are two up-to-date, well-equipped stations. Located near the spa towns of Levico and Vetriolo, Panarotta 2002 offers 18 km of safe runs always covered by snow and served by 4 ski-lift facilities, as well as a playground on the snow and the Snowpark della Panarotta. The Brocon-Marande Pass area above the Tesino basin features 10 km of recently restyled ski-runs, 2 ski-lifts, the Snowpark Lagorai and the game park Skilandia, with two moving walkways. Both centres offer sled runs, sport equipment rentals, skibus service and instructors coming from the Scuola Italiana Sci (Italian SchooI of Skiing) of Panarotta 2002 and Lagorai.
Opportunities for cross-country ski lovers are countless; the 7-km trail "Sette Casare" at Brocon Pass; the Great North flavoured environment of the Vezzana Plateau, which features two ring tracks covering the 12 km way to the pass, the long connection routes to the Centro Fondo Millegrobbe (12 km) and the Campolongo centre (21 km); the 11 km trail of Val di Sella, near Borgo Valsugana. All the ski-runs are groomed for free technique and feature parking areas and sports equipment rentals.
Valsugana also offers other kinds of winter sport chances, such as snow-shoe hiking and ski-mountaineering in charming and natural environments, which are safe and well-catered by mountain-huts and refreshment venues.
