Large ski area with many interesting runs. Ski routes for experts and easy slopes for families. Lovely mountain huts to stop at and, when there's enough snow, a fantastic run down to the valley.
Johannes Gold
Excellent slopes for the discerning skier Well-groomed and the skiers are very well distributed across the spacious ski area.
Very varied
Fewer après-ski options

Almost unbeatable in good weather. There are fantastic slopes to discover at higher altitudes, which aren't so easy to find on the piste map. The large mountain huts can get very crowded, but if money isn't a concern, they offer great dining rooms with table service.
Dreamlike wide slopes with a top panorama in the upper area
Some sections involve difficult, narrow valley descents.

In Montafon, the slopes were only moderately to poorly groomed. From 11:00 AM onwards, there were an extremely large number of icy patches. Although the overnight frost would have allowed it, no artificial snow was produced, which makes ecological sense but was sometimes dangerous for skiing, especially since there were also many small stones on the slopes. The slopes in Golm and Gargellen were better and more relaxed. The lack of hospitality on the slopes was very disconcerting (there are certainly exceptions, but I didn't encounter any). Since we had the audacity to board a gondola at 3:58 PM, the cable car employee in Golm actually had to open the gate for us, which he didn't appreciate at all. No more refreshments were served after 4:00 PM. You should always have the ski bus schedule with you. From Gargellen to Schruns at 3:50 PM or 5:30 PM. I've been there once now and don't need to go back.
Whether beginner or advanced, there's something for everyone.
From 4 PM onwards, the motto is: "It's good that the tourist is leaving his money here, but now everyone get off the mountain!"

Overall, the ski resort is very beautiful, offering truly stunning mountain panoramas. Unfortunately, some of the slopes are ungroomed and therefore not suitable for beginners or casual skiers. The definite advantage is that you can access two mountains via the valley station, allowing you to switch between them as often as you like. The après-ski scene right at the bottom of the slope is also worthwhile, and you can find great après-ski options in the nearby villages as well.
Apres ski area, very spacious, amazing mountain panorama
Unprepared slopes, expensive

It's a good, modern ski resort. Only the price aspect leaves something to be desired. The lift ticket prices are quite high.
Good connections between the mountains… very good ski bus connection
Quite expensive
Denny
Purely commercial. The slopes are poorly groomed. Even though 80% of the area is closed due to strong winds, lift tickets are sold for the day without any information. Poor service. Long waiting times. The lodges are huge, simply massive without any quality. And very expensive!
Large ski resort
The slopes are poorly groomed - unfriendly to customers.

I'm very disappointed with this ski resort. It seems like they're only interested in making money. The dynamic pricing system benefits the operator exclusively, not the guests. In bad weather and slope conditions, they only charge €2 less than the regular daily rate, which is simply unfair. Furthermore, they lure masses of tourists to the resort, making skiing after 10 a.m. absolutely unpleasant. The prices in the restaurants are also exorbitant.
Large ski area with many great events
Dynamic pricing

This overpriced ski resort is getting worse every year.
Easy to reach
Far too expensive, and the slopes are usually not groomed. Many accidents occur on the icy patches.

Mediocre ski resort, too expensive
Old lifts, overpriced, the new booking system is too expensive for last-minute shoppers and those who need to budget, and buying a ski pass on the day of arrival costs €40 more. Some staff are unfriendly and unmotivated. The slopes are in poor condition.
