Beitostølen’s terrain is divided between two main areas: the central Beitostølen side and the more challenging Raudalen sector. The resort’s 25 km of pistes are spread across 150 hectares, with a vertical drop of 300 metres. The base sits at 750 metres, rising to a summit of 1,050 metres. The terrain is serviced by 7 lifts, including a high-speed six-seater and triple chairs, ensuring efficient access across the mountain.

Beginners will appreciate the gentle slopes near the village centre, where 32% of the terrain is tailored for novice skiers. The area around Sentrumsløypa is ideal for first-timers, offering wide, forgiving pistes and easy lift access. Families can also enjoy the tubing lanes and dedicated children’s areas, making it a stress-free environment for learning and play.

Intermediate skiers can explore the mid-mountain sections, particularly the pistes branching off from the Expressheisen lift. These runs offer a mix of gradients and scenic views, with 14% of the terrain classified as intermediate. The snowmaking coverage ensures reliable conditions throughout the season, even during warmer spells.

Advanced skiers will find their challenge in Raudalen, accessible via shuttle from the main resort. This area features steeper gradients and longer descents, with 45% of the terrain rated advanced. The longest run stretches 3 km, offering a satisfying descent with varied terrain and natural features such as ridges and open slopes.

Expert skiers can test their skills on the black-rated runs in Raudalen, which make up 9% of the resort’s terrain. These pistes are less crowded and offer a more technical experience, ideal for those seeking precision and speed. The terrain park, located near the main resort, includes 4 park rails, 2 pipes, and a dedicated freestyle zone for those looking to mix up their skiing routine.

The resort’s layout allows skiers of all abilities to enjoy the mountain without feeling overwhelmed. With snowmaking across 117 hectares and night skiing available on select pistes, Beitostølen offers a versatile and well-maintained terrain profile that caters to every type of skier.
