For rail travellers, the nearest TGV hub is Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet, approximately 20 km from Chamonix, with Mont Blanc Express trains continuing directly into the resort. For those driving, Chamonix is accessible via the A40 autoroute from Geneva or the Mont Blanc Tunnel when approaching from Italy. Chamonix caters to all skill levels. While 13% of runs are ideal for beginners, it&rsquo;s the 36% intermediate and 37% advanced split that defines the valley&rsquo;s edge. The Geneva Airport (GVA) is the primary airport used to reach Chamonix, located approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away by road.
