Morzine’s ski terrain spans a diverse landscape that accommodates all ability levels, with a particular emphasis on intermediate skiing. The resort is divided into two main sectors: the Pleney side, which links to Les Gets, and the Nyon-Chamossière side, which features steeper and more varied terrain. The Pleney sector suits beginners and families, offering wide, tree-lined blue pistes and designated learning zones. Here, skiers can enjoy gentle runs with scenic valley views, ideal for building confidence.

The Nyon and Chamossière side presents a more dynamic skiing experience, with steeper red and black pistes alongside accessible off-piste routes. The Chamossière Express lift transports skiers to one of Morzine’s highest points, where they can tackle runs such as Aigle Rouge or the challenging black Combe. This side of the mountain also offers a vertical drop of up to 1,466 metres, enabling long, rewarding descents. More advanced skiers will appreciate the technical terrain at Pointe de Nyon, which delivers steeper gradients and panoramic views, including glimpses of Mont Blanc on clear days.

Experienced skiers can challenge themselves on Morzine’s selection of black runs—nine in total—as well as a variety of steep red pistes that provide exciting descents. Some reds, such as Piste A and Piste F, feature wide sections ideal for carving, while maintaining a dynamic gradient. The black Aigle Noir and Combe red both descend from the Chamossière area, offering excellent conditions for those seeking high-level skiing.

Freestyle enthusiasts also have options, with two dedicated snow parks offering jumps, rails, and boxes for skiers and snowboarders. While not as extensive as Avoriaz’s parks, Morzine’s freestyle areas provide a solid introduction to park skiing and are popular among local riders. Positioned near major lift hubs, they are easily accessible for those looking to hone their tricks.
