These periods generally provide consistent snowfall and quieter pistes compared to the peak weeks of Christmas and February half-term. To enjoy freshly groomed slopes, head to the Chamossi&egrave;re Express as soon as it opens&mdash;its altitude and orientation help maintain excellent snow coverage while avoiding early traffic. On sunny days, the panoramic views from the summit make an early start worthwhile.
As crowds build later in the day, savvy skiers often head to the Arbis red run on the Nyon side&mdash;a long, flowing piste that remains in good condition for longer. When visibility is reduced, the Pleney area offers excellent tree cover, particularly along the Retour des Nants blue, which leads back to the village and retains snow well due to its sheltered position.
