Klínovec, located in the Krušné hory (Ore Mountains) of the Czech Republic, is the country’s largest ski resort and sits just 120 km northwest of Prague, near the German border. With a summit elevation of 1,244 m and a base at 830 m, the resort offers a vertical drop of 414 m and benefits from consistent snow coverage throughout the season, supported by extensive snowmaking. The area receives an average annual snowfall of 60 cm. Skiers can explore 35 hectares of terrain, with 31.4 km of pistes served by 18 lifts, including high-speed quads and surface lifts.The resort features 32 pistes with a well-balanced mix of difficulty levels: 59% intermediate, 28% advanced, and 13% expert. Families will appreciate the dedicated children’s areas, including a baby ski park and conveyor belts for beginners. There’s also a tubing lane and two terrain parks for added fun.
