A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
We were in Jasna from January 1-3, 2026.
In the case of this resort, its advantages eventually become disadvantages. The infrastructure and lack of a competitive resort nearby mean that CROWDS come! The well-groomed slopes are open until 10 a.m., then crowds or the wind blow the snow away and turn it to ice.
The queues for the lifts are uncontrollable, with people arriving from the sides and pushing in. There are four gates, plus almost no traffic, one for instructors and students and the other for queue-free entry (40 euros extra, okay, the price can't be too low or everyone would use the fast pass, but when you consider that a one-day ski pass with this option is supposed to cost over 100 euros, it kills the fun of skiing). Then comes the chaos and the re-arrangement of 6-seater chairs, which usually results in wasted space on the chairs. On January 1st, the crowds weren't that bad; some probably got up too late after New Year's Eve, but the afternoon ski pass is cheaper, and Chopok was immediately closed, and then the lines were longer. On January 2nd, Chopok was closed all day due to the wind, so it was a disaster! The lines were about 30-40 minutes long for the slopes. It's good that there were at least chairlifts with windows, because you could freeze standing in line and going up. I think the only larger lines were in Białka. On January 3rd, Chopok opened, the wind was lighter, and the sun came out, so it was a bit better. I recommend the south side, which has fewer beginners and more advanced trails. For snowboarders and more experienced skiers, trails 32 and 33a are very pleasant; you can ski on fresh powder snow. I also recommend routes 2 and 11. The route from Chopok on the north side on January 3rd is all ice, so it should be black as the wind blows the snow away because people were fighting for their lives there. It wasn't slippery, it was just glass!
Arriving at the resort after 8:30 means there's almost certainly no parking space left, and you have to leave your car about 10 km earlier in the free parking lot and take the free ski bus to the lifts. This part is organized fine, but the return trip isn't so easy. Zachradki and Lucky are the next stops, and the ski buses are so packed they don't even stop. We waited over half an hour in -10°C for a ski bus, which we finally managed to get on. During that time, I think six fully packed ski buses passed us in a massive traffic jam. A 3-day pass during the Christmas/New Year period at the promotional price of gopass is €204. It's hard not to compare it to the Alps, where a ski pass is about 30% cheaper, you wait in line for at least half the time, and you have a 90% better chance of good weather.
We were traveling from northern Poland for a short, unplanned trip. Kasprowy was closed, so we decided to go to Chopok, but this only confirmed that it's better to travel twice as far to ski! And not freeze in crowds and queues! Bar prices are also higher than in the Alps. xD
The Strachan Jasna bar serves good cheese and steamed buns! I also recommend the hot chocolate with cream.
The Rotunda Chopok bar offers a great view when the weather is nice and the cakes are very good.
The grilled Okok at the entrance to the B2 cable car at Zahradki - great pork knuckle!

I won't be coming back here.
We came here around Christmas, thinking it would be busier, but it turned out there were no lines, and in that respect, it was fine. However, the trails were terrible, ungroomed, leaving beginners terrified, and more experienced skiers disappointed with the conditions.
I won't be coming back; for such a high price, I could easily find a better resort.

Be careful, from December 25th, many Poles will come to the Tatras, a new airline is starting. Last year, there were a huge number of Romanians and Hungarians. There are beautiful models in the bars who take pictures as Ukrainians in the Bukovel ski resort. The prices of ski passes are high, it is better in Styria or Carinthia

Even though it was quite warm, the preparation of the slopes lasted until the end. Since there is a big rush of people during the spring holidays, the resort took care of it and people climbed all the cable cars and slopes. Jasná did not disappoint and for me it is a TOP resort.

We traveled to Jasná 1.3-2.3 2025
2 days ski pass bought 14 days in advance 110eu.
The weather worked out for us so we were excited.
The slopes were wide and long, well groomed, the frost was there so they held. We were worried about the elements after reading only negative reviews on the net. (waiting time, parking, many people, expensive, etc.)
So on Saturday we had a max. waiting time of 10 minutes. And that was only at Zahrádky.
Sunday was totally without people so we just filmed.
Yes, parking (I note at the cable car so no further transport by ski bus) overpriced 20eu is quite enough. For us as far as skiing is concerned Top. Pubs and restaurants = Austrian prices

The resort is great

The slope grooming is spotty. If you get lucky, you'll have great conditions; if not, oh well... Overall slope conditions 1/10.

Overall, out of 5 days of riding, 3.5 days in very good conditions. I highly recommend using GoPass!

Weather permitting (no wind), there's a wide selection of slopes (including several black ones). So much for the positives.
Unfortunately, the upper lifts are often closed due to the wind. By the afternoon, there are tons of moguls and a lot of ice. There are queues everywhere and the slopes are generally crowded, which isn't very safe. There's practically no snow park (there's a deck, and maybe they'll build a jump). Evening skiing is limited to two slopes, if they even open them.

After a four-year hiatus, the resort is a disgrace with poorly groomed slopes, inactive lifts, and chaotic crowds. Skiing is only possible between 8:30 and 10:00 AM, and then it's icy and beginner skiers are panicking.
Unfortunately, the restaurant options on the slopes are very limited, not particularly tasty, and expensive.
A very disappointing stay.
