I've been coming here for 12 years and I still love this resort for its authentic feel—you can smell the cows!—its village at 1500m, Constantin's bar, and the activities at the village hall. You don't get ripped off on prices, you can chat with the locals, and the instructors, ski patrollers, and shopkeepers are very approachable. The people are generally very friendly. I used to go to Alpe d'Huez but stopped because there was too much concrete, too many people, too much glitz, and it was too expensive. Here, I've rediscovered the joy of the mountains and the pleasure of skiing.
However, the ski area isn't very open, only 50%, the Vernette side is difficult to access, and the facilities are aging. We wonder where the resort is headed, and that's a shame. We're hesitant to come back next year. Besides, the children are growing up and getting tired of skiing the same six runs all day. We'll come back in the summer, but not for winter.
