Situated close to the Ecrins National Park, Puy Saint Vincent ski resort is comprised of three hamlets (Le Puy, Les Alberts and Les Préss) that span a 1400m high sunny mountainous balcony. The advantageous position of the villages lends itself to great views over the Vallouise Valley. Higher up, we climb to the slopes of La Pendine and after, the Col de la Pousterle, here, meadows and high mountain plateaus are dotted with pretty chalets. It is on these surrounding meadows that the ski resort of Puy St Vincent has gradually been expanded and modernised by the construction of new residential buildings and ski lifts at 1600m and 1800m. The ski resort of Puy Saint Vincent is called, with reason “la protégée des vents (Village sheltered from the wind)" benefitting from the high peaks that surround it, making the most from its north face and its location next to many substantial glaciers in the Ecrins range. Puy-Saint-Vincent guarantees natural snow until late in the season. In Puy-Saint-Vincent you will discover a varied alpine ski area where 75 km of marked ski runs help you to enjoy the diverse Pays des Ecrins. As well as alpine skiing in Puy-Saint-Vincent, Cross Country Skiers can also find their little oasis. With 30 km of cross country skiing trails, mapped, marked, covered in quality snow and surrounded by breath-taking 360 ° views it’s certainly a change of scenery for the most part! For non-skiers (and others...), Puy Saint Vincent also has a complete range of activities other than skiing: - Snowshoeing, ice climbing, ice climbing, paragliding, snake-sledging (snake-gliss), ice skating, swimming pool. - Ecrins National Park Centre, learning about local history, museum, silver mines, astronomy and a honey factory for those thirsty for culture. For the care of your little loved ones, Puy-Saint-Vincent has a day-care equipped with indoor and outdoor play areas with slides. The supervision is provided by qualified and certified carers who take pride in organising a range of indoor and outdoor activities for children. The Mini Club for children aged 6 to 12 years old is open during the school holidays from Sunday to Friday. A mix of fun filled activities allow children to discover what the mountain holds slightly differently than just on skis (snowshoeing, igloo, meet the local husky dog trainers, sledding, etc, etc).
