Val Gardena – Gröden’s ski area stretches across a dramatic Alpine landscape, forming part of the Sella Ronda circuit. The skiable terrain spans 181 km and is made up of 188 pistes served by a cutting-edge lift system with 210 lifts, including gondolas, high-speed chairs, and surface lifts. The area is well-connected, allowing skiers to move easily between villages and neighbouring ski zones, such as Alpe di Siusi and Val di Fassa.

Beginners are well looked after with wide, gentle slopes around Ortisei and Santa Cristina, including well-signposted learning zones and dedicated nursery areas. The resort's ski schools have a strong reputation, and the terrain is ideal for those just starting out or looking to gain confidence. Intermediates can enjoy long scenic descents, such as the red-rated La Longia, which winds for 11 km from Seceda down to Ortisei, offering both wide-open skiing and spectacular views.

Advanced skiers will find plenty to challenge them, including the famous Saslong piste, a regular stop on the FIS World Cup circuit. Steep gradients, rollers, and sharp turns test technique and stamina, especially for those tackling it at speed. There are also several black-rated pistes scattered across the resort for those seeking adrenaline-fuelled runs.

Freestyle enthusiasts can take advantage of three well-maintained snow parks, each catering to different levels of skill. Features include jumps, rails, and boxes, with dedicated areas for both snowboarders and freeskiers. The snow parks are popular but well managed, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

The scenery in Val Gardena – Gröden is a standout feature, with jagged Dolomite peaks rising above forested slopes and open ridges. The terrain offers a unique blend of high-Alpine skiing and valley descents, with panoramic viewpoints dotted across the mountains. Whether you're carving on open pistes or exploring new areas of the mountain, the variety and beauty of the terrain here are hard to match.
