Reviews

Don't expect to go to Orelle for the nightlife and local atmosphere. It is what it claims to be, an easy to reach and inexpensive base for skiing in the Trois Vallees with a long gondola taking you up to the "Fourth Valley" skiing, with a (wind prone) link to Val Thorens. It also has the advantage of being very near to the resorts of the Maurienne Valley, so on a snowy day the tree lined runs of La Norma are a safe haven and a trip to Val Cenis or Valmeinier/Valloire keeps the costs of lift passes down - you can even get to Sauze d'Oulx in 45 mins. The accommodation is all apartments, most in the Hameau des Eaux d'Orelle complex but others scattered around the various hamlets that make up Orelle itself.
