Before putting on your skis, check the snow conditions at Avoriaz one last time.
Height and quality of the snow, date of the last snowfall, today's weather, temperature, wind... all the information you are looking for to have a great day of skiing. Please note Avoriaz snow reports are sourced directly from the ski resort and are only recorded during the official ski season's opening to closing dates.
Avoriaz is located in Haute-Savoie in the French Alps, above Morzine and within the Portes du Soleil ski area. The resort has a SKI RESORT AREA of 765 ha, 35 lifts and 56 pistes, with around 75.5 km of skiable terrain. The piste mix includes 13% beginner, 54% intermediate, 21% advanced and 11% expert terrain.
Set between 1,150 m and 2,277 m, with a vertical drop of 1,127 m, Avoriaz has a strong high-mountain position supported by snowmaking. Its car-free centre is one of its defining features, creating a quieter and more practical ski-in/ski-out resort experience.
For British visitors, Avoriaz is a strong choice if you want easy access to the slopes, a family-friendly layout and direct links into the wider Portes du Soleil. It suits mixed-ability groups particularly well, with gentle pistes, more challenging runs and several snowparks.
